Green and Great Is Our God

Well, for the first time in my life, I'm wearing more green. I've never been one to pick out green. I've always past it by to pick out purple, blue, pink or the good old standby black. My weight got up to 300 lbs. so black was always safe, well, maybe we should call it "Tent and Awning" LOL. I always called my clothes that. People are sure funny because they (or at least this is what I observed when I was at a really high weight) would say, "If that person only knew what to eat" or "that person doesn't know that that isn't good for them" or "that person needs to exercise" or "don't they know that they are eating themselves to death". They would say that right in front of me, someone who weigh less than most of these people who it was being said about but it could have easily been said about me. Why this turned to weight, I don't know...oh, ya..black. Still one of my favorite colors because I'm cheap abou

Bee Pollen, Braces and Blessings

Bee Pollen  is something that I've read about and heard about on the radio for years and was looking into it for energy.   I envisioned a sweet taste, something that would I would sip on a little at a time.  Well, like Lisa's imagination, reality is usually very different and now I know why so much advertising is done.  Bee Pollen is very good for energy, which is what I was interested in.  So, my boyfriend quickly runs to his favorite health food store and returns with what looks like gold pellets.  I'm pumped and ready to go.  He give me my first dose...    Does anyone remember when you took your first bite of slimy spinach as a young child?  The consistency?  The dark taste?   Okay, I believed it was good for me, still do, knew I had to chew it because it was already it my mouth.  So, I chew....and chew....chew some more...the pellets get stuck in my teeth...and then it hit...the taste...not sweet...doesn't taste or smell like honey...not close.  The closest resembla

Our puppy , Bella, is now 12 weeks old and weighs around 20 pounds, sits, stays (a little), lays down and has started to heel and is almost completely housebroken and yes, Roxie, our 8 year old remains intent on find a home for her, although when Roxie thinks we're not looking, she is licking Bella and acting very protective of her.  My better half is now known as the Rottie Whisperer as he definitely has a knack for training Rottweilers.  Here is a picture of her just yesterday. Just a few weeks ago, she would fit there much easier but as you can see, not so much!   Okay, my Post Op ...very normal for me but not so good.  I don't think I'm that unusual.  I had 5 sick days, had been in pain since last May, hadn't done cardio since then so I wanted it done.  Followed the instructions, stayed in the lovely boot for 17 days, went to get the stitches out and my doc
